Hand bent from 3mm high carbon steel and heat treated for strength and edge holding ability. Features a foot plate and long curved fork tynes for easy penetration into the soil. The forks are sharpened on both faces to lock onto the tap root deep beneath the surface. The large radius pivot point and long hardwood handle allows excellent leverage to lift the weed (root intact) from the soil. Ideal for all weeds with tap roots such as Daisies, Dock, Thistles and Dandelions, but also suitable for other weeds. The 1300mm long by 38mm Spotted Gum hardwood has excellent bending strength and allows all weeding to be done from a standing position.
